Took me a while to decide on these Alvada merino wool hiking socks, but once I did, I was impressed! I'm always cold-footed in winter hikes, so these thermal warm crew socks seemed like just the ticket. And boy, they didn't disappoint! The first thing that struck me was how incredibly soft and comfortable they are - it's like hiking in clouds. Even after a couple of hours on the trail, my feet never felt sweaty or itchy.

My only minor gripe is that the ankle cuffs are slightly looser than I'd prefer. They didn't slip down while walking, but they're not as snug as I was expecting. Other than that, these socks have been a game-changer for my winter hikes. Now I just need to wait for them to dry between outings - they really soak up moisture!
