Our Experience

Took me a while to decide, but I finally pulled the trigger on the Fire-Maple Fixed Star 1 stove after my old camping stove decided it was done with life's adventures. I was tired of fiddling with matches and wind shields, so I went for something more efficient and user-friendly. I've been testing this little gem out for about two weeks now, and honestly, it's been a game-changer. The first thing that struck me was how fast it boils water. No exaggeration here, but it halved my waiting time compared to my old stove. That might seem like a small thing, but when you're tired and hungry after a long hike, every minute counts. The compactness of this system is another winner for me.

I went into this purchase with managed expectations, especially since I passed on more expensive name brands like Jetboil. I'm glad I did. This stove has exceeded all my expectations in terms of fit, functionality, and compactness. The fuel canister fits neatly inside the pot with the stove, making it extremely portable and packable—perfect for quick access on the go.I tested it at home first (always a good idea), and it performed flawlessly. On a recent trip through rural Kansas, it came in clu

Awesome little thing. As some other reviewers have mentioned I've come across a couple of issues. While its quality is great and it definitely beats Jetboil for value, there is the issue of the extra air hole in the lid and the gas canister attachment leak.As far as the lack of an air hole I just poked one in the lid. I don't think it necessary though, as I don't put the lid all the way on when using and can just take it off.As far as the gas issue... when screwing it on, it does let out a small

This is definitely a good quality. Please. For sure. It's a must have for camping. Super easy to use, get the fire going. And yeah, be able to cook on it. It's a good quality, everything on it. Really works good. It's very small for what it does today. So it's definitely compact, good wind protection, we were using it when it was quite windy out and there was no issues with it. It's a good quality stove as far as what you can do with it. For sure, it's big output for small item for sure. It's ve

Just tested this out on a two-week camping trip, and it performed great! Normally, I make things like burgers, pasta, chili, etc with a larger stove and pots and pans, but since I was going to be gone for so long, I really needed to pack minimally. I found this stove, and after comparing to other similar products, I decided to go with this one. I'm so glad I did! It boils water quickly and efficiently, it's so compact and lightweight, it's easy to clean, and it's so easy to set up and ignite tha

★★★★★ Excelente a 4500 msnm y 0°C

Llevé esta estufa hasta el albergue Norte del Pico de Orizaba en México, aprox. 4500 msnm y días de 0°C, y funcionó perfectamente. Mucho más económica que la misma versión de marca famosa.
