Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy this Arcturus Military Wool Blanket. Seemed pricey for what it was, and I thought, how different can one blanket really be from another? Boy, was I wrong. I bought it because I'm always freezing at night, even in summer. My old synthetic blanket just wasn't cutting it anymore. This one promised warmth without the bulk, which sounded too good to be true. Three weeks in, and I've been proved wrong again - this thing is amazing! First off, it's thick and warm, like cuddling a cloud on a cold day. It kept me cozy even when temperatures dropped at night. And unlike other wool blankets I've had, this one doesn't make me feel itchy or sweaty. That's got to be down to the high-quality merino wool they use.

No odor whatsoever upon arrival. If you bury your nose in the blanket and REALLY REALLY sniff hard, you might catch a tiny bit of normal "wool scent." Every wool blanket I have ever encounterd has the same scent. No biggie. It is genuine wool and smells no different than a wool sweater. No massive shedding, either. I ordered one of these blankets to actually use for the lining of a garment Im making but the quality was so nice I ended up ordering another one. The wool is dense so its thin but heavy. The stitching is very neat as well and it is warm and not too scratchy. Its very soft for wool and doesn't have any weird smells

This is a really nice blanket with a softer wool. The weight is beautiful and it is washable. It would be great for camping. However for stadiums or sitting around a fire, it is just too large. It also does shed small fibers on any fabric it touches.
