Our Experience

We go through things quickly in our household, especially when it comes to outdoor gear. Our kids are always on their bikes, so helmets take a beating. I was skeptical about this ILM helmet at first, but after nearly a month of daily use by my two eldest, I'm impressed.

The fit is what stood out most. It's adjustable, which means it can grow with them. My 12-year-old son wears it comfortably for hours on end without any complaints of discomfort or sweating too much. The lightweight design and well-placed vents are a plus in our hot climate.

However, the chinstrap could be slightly longer. My daughter, who's on the taller side, found it a bit snug when she buckled it up all the way. But overall, for the price and durability so far, it's been a great buy. They've crashed a few times already (kids will be kids), and the helmet has held up well. I appreciate that it meets multiple safety standards too. It's not perfect, but it's certainly practical and reliable for our active family.
